We are a furniture importer and have had an influx of shipments. The items are not typical and are challenging to work with. You will have the advantage to be working with team members with years of experience. - Assist with relocating large products with the help of your teammates will be prevalent early on. -We are using this time to improve our warehouse efficiencies with the addition of racks and purging of some old stock -Once this is achieved then the role becomes a more traditional warehouse support job - Pull and prepare orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging, and quantity for each order to the required destination in shipping and receiving. -Work with experienced team members to receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material, either independently or as part of a team depending on order size and daily staffing needs. - Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned, organized, and that all safety procedures are being followed at all times by yourself and your teammates. - Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and basic tools. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs through the relevant channels. - Provide dependable, shift-long coverage of the warehouse facilities to ensure order fulfillment operates as efficiently as possible for the duration of the warehouse associate's shift. Job Skills & Qualifications - Required: - Dependable daily attendance and work output - Strong organizational work - Detail-oriented outlook toward tasks - Experience with operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and computer-based inventory systems - Experience using an electric saw Job Skills & Qualifications - Preferred: - Some prior warehouse and logistics experience - Materials handling certifications relevant to the products in stock Job Type: Full-time ( on 3 month trial) Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour ( initial month will also have bonuses for work accomplished getting warehouse cleaned and efficient!
