A bridal focused hair and makeup group is looking to hire freelance hair and makeup artists for the influx of weddings - we don't have enough supply for the current demand! For makeup artists, we are looking for the following: - Must know how to do a full face, including lashes - Must know how to prep skin - Must know how to airbrush - Must know how to highlight and contour - Must be able to complete one face in 45 minutes or less - Must know skin type and how to adjust foundation for dry, oily, combo, mature skin types - Must know difference between heavy IG makeup and natural makeup - If interested in bridal work, must be able to complete a bride's face with 90 minutes - Must be able to look at a inspiration photo and replicate it on client - Must be able to set a face so makeup stays for hours on end - Must be able to talk to clients For hair stylists we are looking for the following: - Must know how to do various updos - Must be able to blow dry - Must be able to do different curl types (not spiral type curls) - Must be able to differentiate between hair types - If interested in bridal work, must be able to complete a bride's hair style within 90 minutes - Must be able to look at a inspiration photo and replicate it on client - Must be able to set the hairstyle (without it looking stiff) so it stays in place for hours - Must be able to talk to clients to see what they want The following are the general requirements for everyone: - Most of our clients are in Long Island, Westchester and NJ, a car is a must - Must be able to work weekends - Must be able to start early (i.e. 3 am start time) - For makeup artists, you should be able to work with all skin colors (anywhere between medium to ebony) - For hair stylists, let me know if you have experience with ethnic hair - You should have some experience working with wedding parties - You should have your own professional kit Note that for any event that you are hired, you will be paid per person that you complete.
