Drummer needed for two Sunday church services (10:30 Contemporary/Gospel, 12:30 Spanish) + rehearsals (7 PM Thursday) at a diverse and growing Methodist church in Gaithersburg. Recurring weekly paid gig with potential to be regular. Must be proficient in Contemporary Christian, Gospel, and Latin styles; experience in Jazz and other genres is a plus. The ideal drummer has a positive professional attitude, is flexible with strong improv skills, and is able to spontaneously follow the lead vocalist or instrumentalist as the spirit leads. Services are currently hybrid with both live streaming and limited in-person attendance; full COVID-19 safety protocols observed.
