General contractor building water and wastewater treatment plants seeks general laborers in Monument, CO. Primary Function: Work in a utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands require a worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision performing a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools. Work may include demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, counting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulation material. Other tasks may include: - Setting up forms. - Signaling construction equipment operators. - Leveling earth to fine grade specifications using picks and shovels. - Mixing concrete using a portable mixer. - Positioning, joining, aligning, and sealing pipe sections. - Erecting scaffolding, shoring, and braces. - Spraying materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hose to clean, coat, or seal. - Applying caulking. - Grinding, sanding, or polishing surfaces such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring. Practical Knowledge: Basic to advanced knowledge of construction means and methods.
