Creative, busy, local restaurant group seeks a Maintenance & Facilities Technician. Edible Beats is a local successful restaurant group, including Linger, Root Down, Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox, El Five, and Vital Root. We are seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Technician who: loves a good challenge is extremely dependable works clean, and most importantly, is a very positive communicator. * This role requires a very collaborative spirit to solve problems, find creative solutions, and show the willingness to say ‘we can do it.’ As evidenced by our unique properties, we are always looking to create and evolve our aesthetics. At the same time, this role will also include many routine days addressing common restaurant maintenance issues such as minor plumbing/drain issues, electrical re-wiring, appliance installations, basic carpentry, exterior maintenance, HVAC upkeep, cleaning, furniture repair, etc. Some tasks will be outdoors when necessary, even in the winter. All tasks must be completed with an attention to detail and no comfort in saying ‘that’s good enough.’ Even simple repairs must look perfect to our guests. We seek a candidate that is fulfilled by both unique, creative projects and common tasks. The Maintenance & Facilities Technician will be expected to work 25- 40 hours per week. Scheduled hours will generally fall between 9:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday. This role offers some flexibility with scheduling ( depending on the week's flow of work, etc).. Pay Range: $19 - $25/hour, depending on experience Required Skills & Experience: Basic carpentry & painting experience Basic to intermediate plumbing experience including snaking, installing sinks, toilet repair/installation, PVC work, water filter systems, winterizing, and more Basic to intermediate electrical experience (rewiring and replacing electrical sockets, breaker boxes, small electrics) Basic Landscaping including irrigation Above average communication skills (proactive, consistent, efficient) Strong problem solving and critical thinking capabilities Preferred Skills & Experience: Minor welding experience for small repairs Bilingual Construction and/or restaurant background Desired Qualifications: Efficient without compromising attention to detail Strong follow through, deadline-oriented, can focus on short or long tasks Eager to learn and challenge yourself Takes the job seriously, but not yourself Flexibility, able to switch tasks easily if sudden issues arise If you are interested and meet the qualifications and want to work with a dedicated group of people that enjoy the challenges of the day, please reply with your resume attached.
