We are looking for high-energy individuals to join our Los Angeles team as Skilled Laborers working on residential projects of various sizes and complexity throughout the Los Angeles Pacific Palisades area. Must also be able to work projects in the Santa Barbara region as needed. Position Overview: The persons in this position will support residential construction projects by performing a variety of tasks involving manual labor including but not limited to: Laying building materials, performing physical tasks, digging out areas of job site, moving materials and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe job-site and providing support to in-house trades. Provides assistance to: foremen, carpentry, and concrete crews.Requirements High School Diploma or GED Reliable transportation to job sites to Los Angeles Pacific Palisades area and Santa Barbara region 2+ years' experience in construction preferably in upscale/luxury construction Basic understanding of construction terminology Able to perform physically demanding tasks (including lifting at least 50lbs) Able to work outside in extreme weather Able to effectively communicate verbally and written in English Have a strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety Basic understanding of construction tools and practices Safety conscious Willingness to go 'above and beyond" to get the job done Provide proof of ability to work in the US DESIRED: 4 years progressive construction labor experience Able to speak a 2nd language preferably Spanish Basic knowledge/ skills in trades Have own tools ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, sit, squat, turn, bend, operate telephone, see, speak, hear, write, work with tools, work in environmental conditions including but not limited to: extreme heat, rain and wind, and lift up to 50 pounds.
