This is a temporary, part time position of 20 hours or less per week; extra hours available as mutually agreed upon. The position pays hourly depending on experience and qualifications. You will receive payment on the 1st and 15th of each month. We do not pay cash. We do offer paid holidays and benefits to qualifying employees. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Mending fences • Yard work • Cleaning stalls and barn • Cleaning manure from pasture • Moving hay bales • Fire mitigation • Other general jobs as needed/requested Job Requirements: • Previous qualifying ranch experience • Ability to easily lift and move up to 75lb bales of hay • Experience working around horses • Follow directions as well as work independently • Read and communicate in English very well • Handy with tools to fix fences and other items as requested • No smoking allowed on ranch property • Background check • Vehicle, driver's license, and good driving record for running errands Compensation and Benefits: • $13-$16 per hour: rate will depend on experience and qualifications • Taxes withheld The position is located on a ranch with animals, other staff, and a family. You need to be able to work as a team, follow directions well, as well as work independently. We have many animals at our ranch including horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats; if you are scared of or allergic to the aforementioned animals - this job is not for you. Students: We welcome students who are at least 16 years old and have their own transportation. We can work your schedule around school and/or other part time jobs. Parents: We understand this is a perfect job for a stay at home parent to work while the kids are at school or daycare. Please note, you will need prearranged childcare for their days off as we work even when the kids are not in school.
