Currently seeking an On-Site Operations Manager in the Cincinnati area with expertise in the transportation industry or related experience such as auto auctions, car rental or fleet management. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and staffing a group of 25 or more employees. Job Responsibilities: Employee engagement, hiring, management and development. Drive key performance indicators such as operational efficiency and a high level of productivity pertaining to dispatch, fleet vehicle maintenance, scheduling of vehicle pick-up and deliveries. Development and grow relationships with auto auction management team as well as automotive dealerships. Grow market share in drive-away service and on-site staffing. Highly effective in scheduling employees and managing resources. Plan, develop and implement transportation policies and goals. Maintain active and visible role with drive team employees to ensure high quality service levels and performance. Maintain a thorough understanding of all areas of local drive away transportation business to ensure operational efficiency and economy. Maintain ongoing awareness of automotive market conditions and trends to ensure effective reaction to market changes. Work and communicate with customer’s operation’s department managers and supervisors to coordinate activities. Confer with administrative personnel and review activity, operating and reports to determine if changes in services, programs or operations are necessary. Review and monitor weekly financials, develop and communicate goals to regional management and direct reports. Review, monitor and approve all accounts payables relating to the operation. Foster an environment where safety is paramount. Ensuring all training and safety measures are implemented and monitored regularly. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: 2-4 years’ experience in managing a stand-alone operation in the automotive or logistics field 2-4 years’ experience in transportation industry preferably vehicle transport Experience managing teams of 25 or more Strong computer skills Strong logistical and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good problem-solving and organizational skills Bilingual helpful but not required Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly Pay Rate: Based on experience This is a full-time, long-term 1099 contract position. Interviews by appointment only
