LINDY PAVING, INC., the Tri-State area's largest and most successful paving contractor and asphalt manufacturer, is seeking a Shop Helper for it's Lindy North Shop. Primary Function: To assist shop in daily operations Typical Duties: Pick-up/Deliver parts to shop and jobs Keep shop floors clean and clear of debris Remove garbage Re-stock parts used on daily basis Assist in transport of vehicles to and from the shop Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience: Educational and experience requirements include: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be able to effectively communicate verbally with co-workers and work with others in a positive manner. Ability to read safety rules and instructions in the use and maintenance of equipment and tools. Must be able to read signs, signals and follow written and verbal instructions. Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures and work harmoniously and cooperatively with others at all times. Must have valid driver's license, preferably a CDL, and acceptable driving record. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry 50 to 100 lbs. occasionally and /or 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and/or 10 to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects. Requires manual dexterity and ability to bend, twist, turn, stretch, squat, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods. Comments: Non-Union position. Non-exempt under FLSA.
