Full Time Groomer Needed

We are a small family business in the Pacific Palisades with a laid back environment. Above all, we would like to find someone who fits seamlessly into our team. We are looking for a groomer for 4 days a week (will be 5 in the future). We are open Tue-Fri right now and are looking for someone for someone who will be able to work Saturdays when we resume our normal schedule post Covid. We work to make sure our groomers and pets have an easy stress free experience. We do not take heavy de-mats or take extremely aggressive dogs. We like to keep our employees and pets safe. Your hours are dependent on your workload and you are able to leave when you finish with your dogs after helping with daily shop cleaning. Requirements: - Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs in weight (we have a lot of large dogs) - Must be able to groom 4-6 dogs per day - Basic Grooming Skills: shampoo-ing, drying, de-matting, brush-out, sanitary trim, body clip, scissoring skills, nail clipping/filing, ear plucking, etc - Ideally have minimum 2 years experience working in a grooming shop or certificate from grooming school - Attention to detail and be willing to learn new styles - Awareness of popular grooming trends and styles - Knowledge of standard breed clips, pet trims, Japanese style, and creative (dye work) grooming - Have passion for your work and want to continue learning at future seminars - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to follow hair cut directions from customers - Must have excellent communication skills with team members - Must have your own well maintained equipment - Reliable transport to work - Punctual We take the health and safety of our employees/families very seriously and require you to follow COVID guidelines at work as well as in your personal life.
