OPERATOR OF EQUIPMENT/FOREMAN/MANAGE LABOR employment type: full-time Foreman /Equipment Operator(s) to join our growing company with multiple site developments in the Hudson Valley Region • The primary role for this position is a responsible capable person for directing and supervising workers and subcontractors. • Coordinates tasks according to priorities and plans. • Allocates general and daily responsibilities. • Communicates with Project Managers and Site Superintendents to help ensure manpower and resources are adequate. • Monitors expenditures to ensure they remain within budget. • Must have valid Driver’s License • Capable of operating various equipment based on job or job need. • Ensures timelines are met for each project including timelines and completion dates. • Leads by example. • Guides, encourages and motivates team employees whenever possible. • Attends and participates in all training offered by our company whenever possible. • Reads and interprets drawings. Capable of lay and level’s • Figures (including but not limited to) volumes, square footage etc. of materials based on job including concrete yardage, rock and sand tonnage. • Orders necessary materials to specifications to ensure timely delivery so as to meet all scheduling demands. • Selects and utilizes proper materials and/or tools for designated tasks. • Performs maintenance or cleaning activities for machinery and equipment. • Be able to interview, recruit and dismiss workers for various positions as needed Essential Duties: • Perform daily maintenance on equipment • Ensure that the equipment is fueled and maintained daily • Correctly fill out and turn in all information on fuel and service logs and daily job slips • Complete all tasks with safety first • Report equipment issues to shop in a timely manner so it can be repaired and maintained. Involves the operation of heavy equipment, including: • EXCAVATORS • LOADERS • DOZERS • GRADERS • HAUL TRUCKS
