We are currently seeking a porter/groundskeeper for a community located in Tampa, FL. The porter's primary responsibility is to ensure that all of the property looks clean and well maintained at all times. The porter's specific duties may vary from site to site, depending on the property's requirements. Normally, these duties may involve the following:
1. Trash pickup from the grounds and parking areas
2. Clean and maintain the pool areas and pool furniture
3. Clean laundry rooms and mailbox areas
4. Clean breezeways, entry areas, and under stairwells (the pressure washer and blower are usually used for these tasks)
5. Light maintenance such as painting or changing light bulbs may be assigned
6. Advise management of any property or landscape issues that are noticed
7. Keep the walkways free of debris and pressure clean when necessary
8. Assist the maintenance staff upon request
9. Follow proper company policies and procedures
10. Be courteous to residents
11. Complete any duties or special projects assigned by the manager
Applicants with additional or extensive experience in at least one area of maintenance (painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc...) preferred, as this job could lead to a Maintenance Technician position for the right candidate.
Candidates for this position should have a high school diploma, and pass a background check and drug screening.
