Two male SEPARATED gerbils

Description

Okay so this saddens me so much. I have two gerbils who ended up fighting and the white one drew blood from the grey one. They can never be paired again together because of this. I currently have mcfly the grey one in a much smaller cage bc of the fight and he’s okay with being handled and will be able to be paired with a baby male or a female if neutered. Mcfly grey gerbil has some scrubs/ bite marks that have been healing nicely. The white one Marty I believe will have to be a lone gerbil and will need extra attention to avoid depression. He also needs worked with to become more tame I’ve worked with them over the past 9 months I’ve had them but was never able to successfully tame Marty white gerbil. The reason I’m giving them up is bc I live in a small bedroom I’m renting and have no space for two 20 gallon tanks and two toppers nor do I have the money to buy another 20 gal and topper. I think someone who will be able to have the time, money and patience to get to know these guys will do great. One more time they can never be together again. I’m issuing a rehoming fee to them and will not rehome them to anyone under 13 years old unless they have a responsible and competent parent who will help educate they child. These are not animals for small kids as they do frighten easily and are very fragile. They will come with food and separate cage they’re currently living in. I would need to see the cage for the gerbil mcfly who needs a 20 gallon and a topper. I feed them by spreading the food across the bedding to encourage foraging. They need a tank and not a “critter trail” as critter trails are not suitable for any small animal. Any questions or concerns please message me. Located in Pittsburgh south side region.
