Candle Company Seeks Production Assistants

We are seeking full-time and Part-Time Production and Shipping Assistants to join our production and fulfillment team. Monday through Friday 9am - 5pm every day. We plan to bring people on in late June (tentatively June 25th) for a large order. This production job would take about one month to complete, and there would be an opportunity for this evolve into a full-time position in August and beyond. The ideal teammate will have attention to small details and is able to perform repetitive tasks at an acceptable pace and maintain quality. The job is rewarding, but also requires a lot of manual labor, so these individuals should be able to stand on their feet 8 hours per day, lift 50 lb boxes throughout the day, and work with their hands. If you enjoy getting things done with a fun group of people, this may be the job for you! Production Responsibilities may include: • Loading wax melter with up to 200lbs/day • Preparing jars, wicking, and setting wicks • Measuring and mixing fragrance oils • Hand-pouring candles • Meticulously cleaning and labeling candles • Stocking inventory • Occasionally fulfilling orders DESIRED SKILLS: Attention to detail Strong communication Self-motivated to perform well Ability to take direction Strong problem-solving skills Ability to learn quickly Adaptable Highly organized and process-oriented Ability to maintain focus while performing repetitive tasks for long periods of time Previous production or shipping experience is not required, however experience in food preparation, service industry, or other manual labor positions is ideal BONUS POINTS Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, USPS practices Previous experience using a pallet jack and/or packing large pallet orders Proficiency with Shopify and Shipstation Proficient with Google Drive *Please apply by responding to this post with the subject line "Candle Production and include and a blurb about yourself and availability.
