An Athletic Comp. between Military and Civilians in a functional-fitness "Games" style event for bragging rights! Let's see what YOU got!! The USO Outdoor Adventure Team and Three Ships CrossFit are hosting the Hampton Roads Throwdown! Different military branches will compete in an athletic competition for the winning title vs. the local #757 athletic community on August 15th at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex and Regional Training Center inside the Stadium, and in front of numerous Military and Civilian dignitaries. The competition will include an Adaptive (Individual Competitors),Non-Adaptive Individuals in "RX" Heats and "Scaled" (See Below) for both Men and Women, and all kinds of exciting activities for the kids (Agility Inflatables, functional fitness Clinics and additional activities. This competition is open to Active Duty, National Guard, Veterans, Civilians and Spouses of the Military community. This is NOT a Male only competition!! More info forthcoming! NOTE 1- A Video, Photo, Media and Liability Waiver MUST be signed by EVERY participant!! This includes children signed up for the Kids Clinics. Parents must fill one out for their children before the event. Waivers will be sent out in a follow on email. NOTE 2- When registering for this competition please verify that you are enrolled in the proper category broken out by standards below. Based on the category you pick (RX Athletes or Scaled Athletes) everyone must be able to perform ALL of the following based on their category of enrollment: RX Athletes- Pull-Ups Unassisted Toes to Bar Clean 185 Males / 135 Females Snatch 135 M / 95 F Thrusters 135 M / 95 F DUs Box Jumps Wallballs 20 M / 14 F Scaled Athletes must be able to accomplish: Jumping Pull-Ups Knee raises Clean 135 M / 95 F Snatch 95 M / 65 F Thrusters 95 M / 65 F Jump Rope Box Step Ups Wallballs 14 M / 10 F Please ensure you can accomplish these standards when deciding which category to enroll in.
