Smaller, established landscape company seeking someone to start a career with us as a full time crew leader/supervisor for our landscape maintenance team. (Our Service Contracts ensure steady work through all four seasons.) -Competitive Pay -Hourly Pay + Overtime Paid, Direct Deposit available free of charge. -Health Benefits and Paid Time Off available -A Stable and Fun Work Environment What We Need From You: - Minimum 5 years experience in landscape maintenance(total landscape maintenance, lawn care only does not qualify) - Minimum 2 years experience as a landscape maintenance crew leader/supervisor - Provide Previous employers and references. - Valid Driver's License -Ability to pass background and drug testing Our Company and Your Team will depend on you for the following: - Reliability: At work Every Day. On time every day. Arrive ready to work with a positive attitude and physically prepared to work. - Good Communication Skills: Your crew will look to you to be a leader, not a boss! They will need your guidance and feedback on a constant basis to ensure productivity and quality are kept high. We serve many higher end homes/clients and you will often be speaking with these clients and their neighbors and as such you must be able to carry yourself in a professional manner and represent the values and culture of our company. - Time Management: You will need to make decisions on a daily basis as to what will be the best use of your time at each property to ensure quality is maintained at all properties on a continuing basis. Understanding which items must take priority over others from week to week is vital to ensure the properties are kept up year round while also keeping the entire slate of properties on track. - Pride: Take pride in your work and treat each property as if it were your own. Be proud of your position and the company you work for. Take excellent care of the tools and vehicles we use as their appearance and condition are a direct reflection of both you and the company. - Accountability: If you make a mistake or cause damage, this must be relayed to us immediately. We are not looking for someone who might just sweep an accident under the rug and hope no one notices. When we mess up, we own up and make it right! Please do not apply if you do not have what it takes to lead a team and be able to begin performing complete landscape maintenance without training from the first day. We are not interested in hiring someone to push a lawnmower for this position. You must have a working general knowledge of landscaping maintenance- what to trim, when to trim, how to trim, how to trim efficiently regarding mess prevention and cleanup. Also identifying common signs of stress from drought, disease, insects, etc. Understand common obstacles- lighting, irrigation, drainage, etc and how to work around them and sometimes do a field repair if it is damaged.
