Introductory course focusing on outdoor rock climbing skills. Spend the morning learning the basics for experienced guides and afternoon climbing. North Conway’s Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges are the perfect crags, conveniently offering an outdoor classroom setting and easily accessible, excellent, beginner terrain. In the morning we will focus on learning the basics on flat ground; tying in, maintaining personal safety, securing the rope for your partner, removing rock protection and the fundamentals of movement. The rest of the day will be spent climbing and practicing those skills on climbs of appropriate difficulty and scale. Price: $95 Registration MUST be completed through Cathedral Mountain Guides: Registration Form. In the message field write in SheJumps. Location: 10 Norcross Circle, North Conway, New Hampshire (Directions can be found here - we are in the back of the parking lot by Ben & Jerry's and next to the Jewelry Shop - look for our yellow sign and a small set of stairs that lead to our second floor office). Meeting Time: 8:00 am EST Guide Partner: Cathedral Mountain Guides (Cathedral Mountain Guides) Cost: $95/participant What to Bring: Comfortable, athletic clothing for a full day outside.A medium-sized backpack to carry your food and water for the day, as well as your climbing gear.Plenty of food and water for the day (2L of fluids)Climbing Gear: If you have any of the following, please bring it along - shoes, harness, helmet, belay device and locking carabiner.If you do not have gear, gear will be provided!Transportation: Participants will be responsible for driving to the climbing area (up to 30 minutes from North Conway).
