Join us to clean up the Bancroft Garden site on World Environment Day! June 5 10:30am-12pm and 12:30-2pm Bancroft Creek Garden Clean Up Day June 5 is World Environment Day! Join Bancroft Middle School, StopWaste, City of San Leandro, Brower Dellums Institute for Sustainable Design Studies, and Friends of San Leandro Creek for a socially distant work day at the Bancroft Middle School’s creek garden site. We will clear some of the ivy overgrowth and pick up litter in the area. Bins and litter pickup kits will be available. There will be a COVID temperature screener on site. Please RSVP at Eventbrite for one of the shifts (morning or afternoon) - capacity will be limited by social distancing guidelines by San Leandro Unified School District. Participants will need to fill out an additional volunteer form from the City of San Leandro. No bathrooms will be available on site.
