Position Description - Dock Custodian The goal of the custodian is to help keep the company maintain excellent working conditions by keeping the facility clean, tidy, and safe so our coworkers and guests can enjoy. Performance Responsibilities Have physical endurance to cover a large space Empty trash and garbage cans and reline cans with liners around the facility Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and window cleaning around the facility Replenish supplies and maintain inventory according to Facilities Director guidelines Perform cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by Facilities Director Respond to maintenance requests quickly and with a professional manner Assist with minor repairs if needed Police the riverwalk grounds, including under the Michigan Avenue stairway entrance and ensure they are free of litter Perform other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Basic inventory control skills Strong verbal communication skills Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds Physical Requirements Bending, carrying, lifting, standing, sitting, walking Working Conditions Includes extreme weather, temperature and humidity Job Type: Part-time
