GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich man was issued a misdemeanor summons for supplying kegs of beer to high schoolers during a graduation party last weekend, according to police. Officers were dispatched to the area of Kenilworth Terrace on a report of a loud party around 11:30 p.m. on May 22. Upon arrival to the area, it was discovered that there was a high school graduation party taking place at a residence on Kenilworth Terrace. According to police, officers spoke with the homeowner, David Chang, who said he had purchased beer kegs for the party. Officers found two kegs in plain view in the rear of the residence where the party was being held. GPD Lt. John Slusarz urged parents to be careful and responsible during this time of year when there are many parties graduation parties. "I strongly recommend that parents are careful as to what they serve, and make sure they're aware of who is drinking any alcohol and their level of intoxication should it get to that amount," Slusarz said. "In addition to some criminal penalties for providing alcohol to a minor, there may also be some civil issues if that minor or partygoer leaves the party and is involved in a crash as a result of the intoxication." Chang, 60, was charged a summons forsake or delivery of alcohol to minors, intoxicated persons and habitual drunkards prohibited. He has a court date of June 21 at Stamford Superior Court.
