PRINCETON, NJ — The paving and milling work on Route 206 which was scheduled for last Friday will now begin Tuesday, Princeton Police said. The NJ Department of Transportation will be conducting overnight milling and paving of two sections of Route 206 to repair rough road conditions. There will be daytime road work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with traffic alternated in one lane. NJDOT's contractor will then begin nighttime paving from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The overnight work is expected to take place from Tuesday through possibly Thursday. In addition to the Route 206 work, PSE&G will be performing daytime utility work in Palmer Square that will result in road closures from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., this week beginning Tuesday through Thursday. Palmer Square East will be closed, and then on another day Palmer Square South, police said. Roads will be re-opened to traffic at the end of each workday. Detours will be posted and there will be police personnel to assist with traffic control. Rain could result in postponement/delay in these construction jobs.
