Our Property Management Team consists of associates that demonstrate strong leadership, communication, team-building, and decision-making skills.
Candidate for Maintenance Supervisor is required to maintain a positive relationship with all Residents and fellow Associates to ensure excellent customer service. They will be responsible for the diagnosis of problems and repairs in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural (some), and appliances. This position requires the ability to serve on-call, as scheduled or necessary. They will perform all other duties as directed by the Property Manager and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
MUST be able to use general maintenance equipment including but not limited to:
Hand tools (provided by employee)
Required safety equipment
Skilled in general carpentry and painting
Able to diagnose problems with and repair Major Appliances, Basic - Intermediate Plumbing, Basic - Intermediate Electrical work (under supervision of O7B Certified Electrician).
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Position requires the ability to utilize a pager/ cell phone and serve on-call, as scheduled or necessary
Other Requirements:
• Must be very punctual and have great attendance as well as maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Must have valid Driver's License/reliable transportation and ability to travel when required.
• Must be available to work at sister-communities if required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to deal with and professionally handle potential confrontational situations
• Ability to set and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must be a team player
* 07B certification preferred, but not required. Good knowledge of plumbing a plus!
* Strong knowledge of plumbing repairs and troubleshooting where leaks are when they occur.
