PLEASANTON, CA — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted. Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year's grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one. Foothill High School student Alexis Barrera will graduate this year. Plans after graduation: UC Berkeley, majoring in Philosophy and Spanish on a pre-law track. Accomplishments: We The People "Unit 3" National Finals, Varsity and Club Volleyball, Peer Advocates/Mentors, Spanish Club, Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. Special message: Lexi, you are growing into a beautiful and strong woman right before our eyes. Your hard work and perseverance, combined with your generous and loving personality, will propel you beyond the limits of your dreams. We are so proud of you!
