PITTSBURGH, PA —The Allegheny County Health Department ordered the closure of Dunkin in Tarentum for numerous health violations. A recent inspection found sewage leaking from a grease trap and causing a large puddle on the floor. Contamination was spread throughout the facility by employees walking through the puddle, according to inspectors. Other violations included a lack of cleaning and sanitization of ice maker, doughnut shelf, the ventilation system, and ventilation covers; lack of a grease trap maintenance log; lack of signs instructing employees to wash hands; use of handwashing sink for disposal of ice; torn cooler gaskets; damaged door sweep; and failure to post their health permit.
