Description
For beginners with their own materials, or who are ready to buy materials (I will send you a list of inexpensive materials and sources) intermediates, and anyone who wants to experience and explore some of the following techniques:
Applying paint-with and without a brush
Drawing with resist to create structure—I will supply the resist and quickly teach you how to draw for painting
Creating unity and vibrance through color. (Don’t bring your blacks and browns)
Creating hard and soft edges, unifying passages, and implying space
This is an outdoor (Plein Aire) experience at beautiful Greenleaf Gardens in Little River where the plant forms and surrounding forest are inspirational. It is taught by me, Judith Greenleaf, a retired college art instructor, workshop leader at MAC, Gualala Arts, and other locations in the U.S. and Canada, and at my Art Retreat Center, Casa Corazon, in Baja California.
