Description

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —It's a beautiful day to hit the waves. Here's an update on surf conditions from Surfline via the South Bay Dawn Patrol. Look for a mix of easing, long-period SSW swell plus holding NW wind swell this morning. Waves will be running thigh to waist to stomach high at many spots, while better exposures in the north half of the bay hit chest high. Winds will be calm to light/variable. The tide will rise towards a 4.1' high at 8:55 a.m. and will be slowing the surf some through mid-morning. For the rest of the day, surf size will slowly taper off during the day as the southerly swell losses steam. Moderate west winds will ruffle conditions most of the afternoon, then ease in the evening, and the tide will bottoms out at a 0.9' low at 2:15 p.m., then head for a deep 6.2' high at 8:35 p.m. Head over to surfline for daily updates.
