Silver Alert: 75-Year-Old Man With Cognitive Issues Missing

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the community's help in locating a missing 75-year-old man with cognitive issues who was reported missing Monday morning. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a Silver Alert was issued for John Michael Wildey, who was last seen on Front Porch Avenue in Charlotte shortly before 5 a.m. as he was getting into a tan 2016 Subaru Outback. The Subaru has Indiana tag BNQ310 and the rear of the vehicle has several bumper stickers displayed, police said. He was last known to be wearing a blue and while button-down shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. He is described as having gray hair with a full beard and mustache. "Wildey suffers from cognitive issues, and his family is concerned about his welfare," CMPD said. CMPD said anyone with information on Wildey's whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
