BIRMINGHAM, AL — Two Birmingham nonprofit organizations are teaming up on a new development in Woodlawn. REV Birmingham and the Woodlawn Foundation look to develop residential and commercial properties next to the new bus station in the community, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report. The development is expected to include residential and commercial property. "The city's investment in Woodlawn with the development of a new east terminus of the Bus Rapid Transit line will create a new place, new users and new needs in the community's historic commercial core," David Fleming, president and CEO of REV Birmingham, told the BBJ. "REV and Woodlawn Foundation are excited to support the city and help leverage their investment by developing supporting residential and commercial uses adjacent to the Bus Rapid Transit station." Read the full story on the new Woodlawn development in the Birmingham Business Journal.
