Concrete Worker Job Description Form up for and install concrete at commercial development sites using foundation and carpentry tools like pneumatic air hammers, sledge hammers, shovels, pattern stamps, bull floats, screed boards, concrete come-alongs and rakes, hand floats edger’s, expiation jointers, trowels, curb forming machine, claw hammers, framing guns and air compressors, power saws, jig saws, reciprocating saws, drill/screw guns, power miter box, table saw, crow bars, measuring tapes, rulers, straight edges chalk boxes, knives, hand saws, screw drivers, pliers, framing squares, tri-squares, speed squares, eye protection, gloves, hard hats and steel-toed footwear and rubber boots; face masks, knee pads, and eye protection. • Read and interpret plans for laid out and installation of concrete. • Install Re-Enforcement wire and bar in accordance with plans. • Pour/install concrete delivered by truck to work site in accord with industry standards. • Finish concrete using above mentioned tool according to industry standards and specific plans onsite. • Smooth/finish concrete surface in preparation for coloring and stamping if needed. • Put up and took down scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and temporary devices. • Built and positioned forms for pouring concrete. • Spread and finished surfaces of poured concrete • Complied with all regulations including government, building and safety. • Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification. • Manage and coordinate all activities on multiple job sites to ensure that all concrete activities are completed as scheduled and walked for quality. Construct retaining walls and fences, assist in tear-down. • Load and un-load structure materials. • Operate and maintain machinery, tools, and equipment. • Construct scaffolding. Dig holes and trenches for placement of pipes, cables, and drains. • Transfer and finish concrete, shift equipment and materials, take delivery of materials and or cargo from suppliers. • Help with drilling and blasting, clean-up and removal of debris and trash. • Responsible for handling Tie Rods (Re-bar) • Knowledge of all tools on-site such as table saw, torch, crowbar, and small tools. • Maintained a clean and safe working environment. • General labor duties to include use of pumps and hoses, digging holes and cleaning job site daily as needed.
