Looking for young Beagle or similar pup

Hello, I am at stay home mom who would love to have a smallish dog of my own. Ideally a Beagle, but that's not necessary. My plan is to put him or her (I have no preference) in obedience school, and eventually get her/him trained as a service dog. We just moved to Overland Park from Arizona. My 16 year old son is battling cancer right now, and I really think a pup could brighten our days. I don't have a lot of money, but I understand the need to charge a rehoming fee.
