Job Type: Seasonal US Coast Guard Captains License (Required) - MINIMUM OF 6 PACK LICENSE Pay: From $23.00 per hour Work Days Wed, Thurs, Friday, Saturday and Holidays, Varies Job Description Small Cleveland, Ohio Charter company needs Captain for their Yacht Charter Service. Captain is responsible for the safe and economical operation of Our Yacht in compliance with applicable safety regulations. The incumbent ensures safe transportation of all passengers, including to and from events and programs sponsored by our Yacht Charters. Pick Up and Drop Off Will Be In Cleveland Flats. As a Captain you will be taking up to 6 paying passengers on a sight seeing tours departing in Cleveland, OH and going no further than the Flats, Cuyahoga River, Lake Erie. Performs general maintenance checks on Yacht daily. Conducts required emergency drills. Possesses the ability to determine safe or unsafe conditions. Washes Yacht and cleans interior with First Mate. You will be an independent contractor and paid $23/hour + tip for each excursion. Flexible schedule, but anticipate weekends being the busiest. Must hold at least an OUPV (6 pack) Captains License with the US Coast Guard. License/Certification: • US Coast Guard Captains License (Required) Work Location: • One location - Cleveland Flats, Lake Eric-Inland Waters Work Remotely: • No Benefits: • Flexible schedule Supplemental Pay: • Tips Requirements • OUPV (6 pack) Captains License • Drivers License - Clean Driving Record • High School diploma or equivalent. • Must be aged 21 or older. • Previous captain experience preferred. • Must possess all required credentials, licenses and/or certifications to operate Yacht in the designated bodies of water, including, but not limited to: • Department of Homeland Security Transportation Worker Identification Credential ("TWIC"); • Knowledge of all laws, rules and regulations pertaining maritime operations.
