Older dog roaming the neighborhood

59th near Utica, Lubbock TX

We were driving down 59th street and saw this little dog slowly crossing the street. It seemed to be very tired. We stopped and asked some of the people around if it was their dog and they said that it has been roaming the street for the last 2-3 days. It is in the area of the 4800 block of 59th, between Utica and Vicksburg. We tried to get it to take and see if its micro chipped but it won't let us hold it or pick it up. We tried to lead it on a leash but it doesn't like that either. It appears to be an older dog. We don't know if it can see or hear very good. It looks to be part schnauzer. It is grey and black with some white around its face. Its not aggressive, just lost. Please help us get it back to its forever home.
