High Five Events is hiring Lifeguards for the CapTex Triathlon on May 31st in Austin, Texas. Proof of current certification is required, to be emailed at least three days prior to the event (5/28). Lifeguards will be paid $100 for the event. Checks will be handed out immediately after the swim portion is finished. Event Details: . Where: Vic Mathias Auditorium Shores. The pre-event water safety meeting will occur at 6 a.m. at the water's edge. . When: 6 a.m. - 10:00 am . What: Lifeguards will be providing surveillance via kayaks and will assist with the extrication of any event participants in need of assistance; paramedics will be onsite to assist with any medical needs . Lifeguards will need to wear appropriate clothing (lifeguard shirts are preferred) and a whistle; hip-sacks, resuscitation masks, and other medical equipment are not required . Lifeguard-specific parking will not be provided. Parking is available at various locations near the event and parking fees may be charged.
