Guitarist looking to join or form original band

Hello- I'm a guitarist looking to either start or join a band doing original music. I have experience recording, playing shows, and collaborating with others. I'm influenced by 70's rock but have a pretty diverse record collection and like a lot of different styles. FYI, I'm 50 years old with a day job and a family. I can commit to weekly practices and playing out a couple of shows a month if it gets to that point. I've been playing guitar for 35+ years. I've sang lead before on occasion but would rather sing backup vocals. I have lots of songs I've written over the years but I like to collaborate and write with others and create something new. What I'm envisioning is that a potential band would entertain material written by everyone separately while working on something new together. I have no problem learning preexisting material.
