Description

Looking for a classic rock/prog band to play with. Me: 55, many years experience. I play rhythm guitar, keyboards, a little bass, a little banjo and mandolin, cittern (think big-ass mandolin), and a few other odd instruments. I can sing lead or backup, but I've got a low voice. Played most recently in an Irish pub band for five years. Equipment I have: Two PA systems up to 24 channels, with powered and unpowered speakers. Sub cabinet for live PA. Instrumentally I play an Epi Les Paul goldtop, Martin acoustics, Kurzweil and Yamaha keyboards, a VST or two if the situation calls for it. Got a pair of IEMs and the stuff to manage them. Have Shure mics and stands too. (Yeah, I kept it all when the last band broke apart.) Musics I like: Primarily I'm a classic rocker. Not a huge fan of rap or tears in my beers (but hey, you play what the audience wants to hear...). Definitely a Deadhead from way back. Prog rock, i.e. Yes, Genesis, Floyd, Rush... huge fun. Acoustic, electric. Sure. What does the audience want? Got a project with a hole in it? Sound interesting? Shoot me a message! Not into the whole chemical thing anymore, but tolerant if you are — so long as you can play it, how you get there is your thing. I don't have an ego problem; I'm happy up front, in back, or between. Willing to travel a bit for rehearsals and gigs. It goes without saying I can get whatever I need wherever it's going. Thanks, and hope to hear from you...
