Description

Hulk is a six-year-old pure-bred Malamute with a zest for attention and a loving personality. Hulk is very vocal when he is happy. He loves meeting new people and gets very attached to whoever is caring for him, but he’s generally cautious with other dogs and doesn’t do well with animals that are smaller than him. While Hulk is, for the most part, well-behaved and tolerant of other dogs his size, Hulk would be a lot more comfortable and thrive more in a household where he is the only pet. Hulk takes on a protective nature with his caretakers and will seek out and attach himself to the “alpha” of the house to lead and guide him throughout the day. Due to the depth of the attachment he develops to his caretakers, Hulk does get anxious when he is left on his own and will seek out food to alleviate his anxiety, so if you decide to leave him on his own, make sure to keep any and all food items stowed away and out of reach; or in his kennel, however he’s developed kennel anxiety due to his previous owner who would leave him in for about 20hrs a day. Hulk does not however seem to display destructive behavior towards household furniture or other items when he is left on his own. Hulk is already potty-trained and will vocalize when he needs to go out. Aside from a few short bursts of attention-seeking behavior and vocalization throughout the day, Hulk is generally a very laidback dog who sleeps most of the day and requires minimal discipline and exercise. He is a perfect dog for someone with a busy lifestyle who cannot afford to invest much time into training and disciplining a dog from scratch. When introduced to a new environment, he may have trouble working up an appetite at first but will slowly but surely bounce back once he feels at home. To help him eat, put a few goldfish, and/or pumpkin purée at the bottom of his bowl and top it off with some kibble. He loves goldfish and for some reason, it seems to entice him to eat his kibble when added to his meal. His diet consists of three cups of kibble a day and a couple of handfuls of goldfish to go with his meals. If he’s not to be an only pupper, than a female, or non-alpha male, about 70lbs or more, with high energy will suit him best :) Adoption Fee: $350 thru a rescue. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped.
