Description & Responsibilities Determine and meet all customers’ needs, providing friendly and efficient service, continually exceeding customers’ expectations.  A Fork Lift Operator/ Metal Processor that demonstrates a basic understanding of the company’s process flow and some warehouse procedures.  This role must address all procedural questions to their manager.Sorting and processing scrap material as they are received per specified requirementsAssist in unloading and weighing up material.Completes forklift certification through Elgin RecyclingSafe operation of forkliftBecome proficient on the material we purchase within our industryMaintain positive work relationsAdhering to company policies in the area of safety, health, environment and communityMaintain a clean work station at all timesAct as a team player with all other employeesAll other duties assigned Physical DemandsResponsibilities primarily performed by standing / walking 90% of the timeSitting is required for the remaining 10% of the timeAbility to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 poundsNormal range of vision, depth perception and hearing is neededAbility to bend, stoop and reach above the shoulders is requiredThe ability to work in both extreme heat and cold weather conditions is required Hours of AvailabilityThe typical schedule for this position will be 8:30am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
