SK Northwest Powersports DBA Polaris of Portland is seeking additional staff in our Service Department! Seeking help that can do little everything or few things well to help us keep our Service Dept moving. We are seeking few hires: entry level Technical skills to help us non-stop fix items around our property, operate fork lift loading/unloading trucks keeping our shop-yard-warehouse organized, able to detail a new vehicle or completed service unit, so do little everything or a few of these items to help us keep going. Wash Clean New Units Driving Trucks and Trailer Driving Fork Lifts Entry Tech/Assembler Level Skills Our company does Sales, Parts, Service, for motorized recreational vehicles like Sea-doo, Ski-doo, Can-am, Polaris, Slingshot, Scarab Boats, Starcraft Pontoon Boats, and many other products. We have been serving the Portland Area for 22yrs. We are located 3 blocks south of OMSI on the east bank of the Willamette River. Hours Tue-Fri 10-6 and Sat 9-5 (Closed Sun & Mon). 40hrs week / 8hr days. 250 SE Division Place Portland OR 97202 Compensation $14-$20/hr Health Benefits after 60days / Paid time off / Retirement Plan / Access to Recreational Vehicles Entry Level Tech - Seeking a few hires that have some entry level technical level skills. Need basic mechanically inclined to Set-up or Assemble new units. Perhaps just simpler task like check fluids, change a tire, or change trailer lights. We need someone able to put a pwc trailer together, change propeller on outboard, change light bulbs around property, add accessories onto a new unit, perhaps some wood working skills for some dock repair work. Seeking handy helper light jack of many trades handyman! Fork Lift Operator - So we have some warehouse like functions here loading unloading trucks, unloading boats, moving units/parts, helping set-up build units, keeping property organized. We load and unload service customer units all day in our drive thru with fork lifts, then move these units safely and efficiently around our shop up into a racking structure. This is not your move a pallet around rather moving a 15ft long SxS up into racking. For this role ask applicant have several years of forklift experience - certification preferred. Lot Support - Washing & Cleaning Units. Detailing new units before delivery is another function we are seeking help for. Set-up staff builds new units then we have to make them look amazing. Do not need to be a professional detailer with buffer just old fashion wash bucket and brushes to clean. Then we use air to blow dry. Attention to detail and able to keep working, we have a line of units to wash daily. Bonus if can Drive a pick-up Truck and Trailer - Valid driver's license is required. Lastly, we ask staff to make runs with our trucks & trailers to go pick-up/deliver unit (ATV/UTV/PWC/SLEDS/Boats/Etc). So if you are comfortable driving one ton long bed pick up trucks and trailers please state your experience. Skill sets seeking; good attitude, good communication skills, self starter, hard worker, reliable, attention to detail. Continually think what would you like if you were the customer. Background with recreational vehicles would be helpful. This is not a boring same old thing job will be asked to do diverse amount of tasks. Positions are full time and year around.
