Carla Properties, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician Agent at our 360-unit property in Hillsboro, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the property management industry! Maintenance Technician duties include, but are not limited to: • Performing routine and emergency maintenance requests and apartment turns. • Scheduling and completing preventative maintenance projects. • Assist resident manager with inspections. • Responsible for the appearance of office, clubhouse, and models. • Responsible for appearance and upkeep of pool areas (including chemical balancing), laundry rooms, restrooms, picnic areas and any other amenities and property common areas. • Responsible for the appearance of building exteriors, entryways, walkways, doors, railings, and all property lighting. • Travel to other Carla Properties to cover for staffing shortages and/or emergency response, as necessary. • Promotes positive, proactive resident relations, working to make the living experience, the first and last impression, of the highest quality. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities • Two (2) years apartment maintenance experience required. • Demonstrated skills and knowledge the following areas: o Electrical, appliance, plumbing repair, and troubleshooting o Drywall, doors, molding, trim work; painting and caulking o Vinyl flooring installation o General maintenance and construction skills to make units “rent ready.” • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, use basic hand tools, kneel, squat and bend; assist in a two-person lift of household appliances. • Ability to work with maintenance supervisor and/or resident manager to establish workflow priorities. • Ability to comply with emergency cell phone and on-call emergency duties for evenings, weekends and holiday coverage. • Must live with 10-15 minutes of the property. Must be able to fulfill on-call duties. • Ability to always provide professional service, exercising discretion as it relates to confidential resident, property, and company information. • Must be an effective listener and communicator with the ability to work well on a team.
