Engineering Manufacturing Technologies (“EMT”) is a metal component manufacturer located near Binghamton, NY. Our manufacturing facility is over 130,000 sq. ft. and we employ over 150 personnel. EMT has been in business for over 70 years and our manufacturing processes include Punch Press Stampings, Sheet Metal Fabrications, and CNC Machining & Turned parts. EMT is known as a leader in our industry and our manufacturing facility houses the “most state of the art” equipment. Our continued growth in the automotive, aerospace, commercial/industrial, DOD, firearm, and pharmaceutical industries requires EMT to hire General Factory Workers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform various general factory tasks as assigned by Production Supervisors. These tasks may include, but not limited to, operating punch presses and seam welder, deburring parts, washing parts, assembling parts, packing parts, and general housekeeping and cleaning initiatives. On-the-job training will be provided by the company. • Must understand basic math • Must have basic mechanical skills • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and stand/walk for long periods of time • Willingness to be trained and desire to learn how to perform all assignments • Must be attentive to performing all tasks assigned • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred • Experience operating a fork truck would be a plus Education/Qualifications: Our ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
