Fix small damaged area on refinished wood floor.

Thanks for checking out my post. I need someone who can fix or improve a small damaged area on my recently (months ago) refinished wood floor. I unfortunately dropped a heavy metal object on it and it is right in the middle of the floor, so I can’t ignore it. It has been explain to me that a situation like this usually requires refinishing the entire floor all over again, but I do NOT want to do that. I do not expect this area of the floor to ever be perfect again, but I’d like to at least improve on it. I’ve attached a few pictures to give you an idea of what I’m working with. One of them shows the damaged area with some filler in it, which looks awful. I shouldn’t have ever messed with it myself.
