Do you dig getting dirty? Does the ability to stop water in its tracks make you happy? Have you ever met an irrigation system you didn't like? If you answered yes, yes and yes, then we want to talk to you! Brookway is looking for an irrigation technician to come join our family!
Core Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, inspect and repair irrigation systems
Ensure irrigation repairs are being done correctly on a timely basis and in accordance with all local and state codes
Maintain paperwork on projects, work orders, and issues
Quality Control - Adhere to Brookway's standards and safety policies
Maintain inventory of parts and tools
Communicate daily with Irrigation Manager and other team members as needed
Inspect company equipment, property and vehicle daily
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
Have working knowledge of different types of Irrigation systems, such as Weathermatic, Rain Bird, Hunter
Understand all landscape components for proper seasonal adjustments and watering times
Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power equipment involved in the Irrigation Department such as drills, trenchers, and line finders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong analytical/organizational skills
Hardscape and plant identification knowledge
Must be reliable and dependable on a daily basis
Qualifications:
Texas Driver's License required with clean driving record
Minimum 1 year of work in the field of irrigation preferred
TCEQ Irrigation License or Technicians License preferred
Backflow license is a plus
Previous experience in drainage
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
