Norwalk Islands - Bird Watching Tour Sun, sea breeze and beautiful wildlife make a perfect combination and that's just what the Norwalk Seaport Association offers up in its bird-watching tour. This trip departs from the Seaport Dock adjacent to the Stroffolino Bridge at 4 North Water Street at the corner of Washington and Water streets in South Norwalk. The 45-foot C. J. Toth catamaran will take participants on an up close, two and a half hour cruise of the Norwalk Islands. You will visit a variety of birds at a safe distance, nest sites and nesting colonies of Ospreys, Egrets, American Oystercatchers, Herons, Terns, Gulls, Cormorants and many more. Every trip is a different experience with nature providing all the excitement! William (Will) Schneck a local who grew up as a passionate wildlife and bird enthusiast, will conduct our bird watching tours on these dates. As a member of the Connecticut Young Birders Club, William, will share his knowledge and expertise about our local birds and their behavior. Having participated in bird-watching competitions, Will is excited to share his passion with all who attend!
