KIDS SUMMER CLASSES - Farm Animals FOUR MORNINGS: -- Recommended for Ages 7-12 Tuesday (10:00 - 12:00)Wednesday (10:00 - 12:00)Thursday (10:00 - 12:00)Friday (10:00 - 12:00)At the end of the week, each artist will have a series of four 10x10 canvases that work together as one piece of wall art. Classes will discuss the color wheel. Our week’s worth of lessons will focus on different ways to create a color scheme for paintings: Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, and Triadic. We’ll talk about how color creates mood, tension, harmony, and other compositional elements within a work of art. We will also weave in various aspects of art history and how artists used color within their work. Basic painting techniques such as blending, shading, shape and composition will be touched on, too. Class limited to 12 participants - Due to the possibility of limited spacing, we encourage parents to drop off and pick up at the end of class.
