Small white/orange kitty hit on Plumb on Sunday night

Around 9pm a small orange/white cat ran into the street on plumb near lakeside, was hit by a car ahead of us. We looped back around and got him out of the street and pulled him to the gutter. Injury was not something he was going to survive. I stayed with him til he passed. I am so sad. I called animal control to clean up, but they can’t get to him until tomorrow. I had to leave him in the gutter overnight. I didn’t know what else to do. It just feels so disrespectful. I feel so bad about it. I just hope the owner can find this for closure. He was a good kitty. Everyone else make sure to hug your pets and love them everyday. They can be gone so fast.
