Ceres Youth Baseball is looking for a par time year round Groundskeeper to help maintain the facility. Park Maintenance Worker / Groundskeeper Part time 20-30 hrs. a week Year round work $13-$15 hr. Schedule varies M-Sa 7:00 am 12pm Some weekends required for tournaments Must be 18yrs old Must have a Ca drivers license. Background check required Essential and other important responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following Sweep and clean areas; clean and sanitize restrooms. Load and unload supplies and materials. Work as part of a maintenance crew involved in Ceres Youth baseball service area and around Smyrna park. Operate large riding mowers, tractors, and other turf maintenance equipment. Drag, rip, chalk and maintain baseball fields, remove and install pitching mounds, set up fields for baseball and softball Apply herbicides with large and small sprayers. Operate construction equipment such as front loaders; operate a variety of power tools such as hammers, compressors, gas powered edges and blowers, and saws. Maintain and repair Ceres Youth Baseball sprinkler systems. Pick up trash and dump trash on property Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees, and the public using principles of good customer service. Observe and maintain a safe working environment in compliance with established safety programs and procedures. Ability to: Understand and follow oral and written directions. Depending on assignment, perform occasional lifting of 75 to 100 lbs. Perform manual labor and custodial duties of a routine nature Read and write at a level necessary for acceptable job performance. Perform basic arithmetic. Follow and interpret written instructions. Respond appropriately to deadlines and emergencies. Prepare basic reports and maintain work records. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
