Press release from the Township of Hamden: May 23, 2021 Tuesday, May 25th - Combined Free Food Drive Up, Vaccination Clinic, and Paper Shredding Event at Town Center Park in Hamden. (RAIN OR SHINE - Open to ALL, do not need to be a Hamden resident or a food drive-up recipient to participate) Join the Town of Hamden as we host the monthly CT Food Bank/Foodshare Free Food Drive Up at Hamden Middle School with bonus event: Free Vaccination Clinic by Quinnipiac Valley Health District (Moderna and J&J) and Paper Shredding. Schedule of Events Hamden Middle School: 2623 Dixwell Ave., Hamden 06518 4:30-5:30: Free Food Drive Up – Just pull up and pop your trunk, volunteers will place the food directly into your trunk. One family portion of groceries per car. Miller Library Parking Lot at Red Barn: 2901 Dixwell Ave., Hamden 06518 4:30-5:30: Miller Pop-Up Library - Library Card sign ups and books to check out on the spot 4:30-6:30: Free paper shredding in front of Red Barn. Limit 5-7 banker's boxes per person 4:30-7:00: Moderna and J&J Vaccinations by QVHD in front of Red Barn 4:30-7:00: Free Moon Rocks Cookies for anyone who gets vaccinated at the event that day 4:30-7:00: Live music by DJ Leslie Change This event is produced with the help of Hamden Public Schools, CERT, Hamden Police, Town of Hamden and community volunteers, CT Food Bank/Foodshare.
