Need to rehome my 2 African Sideneck turtles. I would like them to stay together. I’ve had them for a few months, but I feel someone could give them better care. They prefer shallow, slow moving water (around 1 1/2 feet or less). The water temperature needs to be at least 85-90 degrees, so they need a heater. They need a basking platform with access to heat and UVB. They have escaped my tank many times so the water level needs to be at least 3-4 inches below the rim of the tank/enclosure or it requires a lid. They are currently in a 30 gallon tall tank and don’t go in the water much so I think a shorter and wider tank would be better for them. A half full 40 gal breeder would be ideal. They do not come with an enclosure or supplies. And I will require proof of set up before pick up.
