Country & Rock Cover Band Seeking Vocalist

The Remedy, an established Country & Rock cover band, is seeking lead vocals. We have been playing regularly in Humboldt County for several years headlining fairs, festivals, clubs, commercial and private gatherings. We are presently lead guitar, drums and bass. We do sing as well and will be looking for harmonizing abilities. We are open to male and or female vocalists. Not opposed to having both as it would be ideal to cover a wider range of bands. We are seasoned musicians but are open to having someone with less experience. We encourage all inquiries. We are simply looking for The Voice that can deliver the goods. An instrument to accompany is a bonus but not a deal breaker. Same with equipment. We have rehearsal space and PA system including an array of mics. You will need to be available to rehearse with the band once a week and generally perform 1-2 times a month. Reliability, good communication via email and text, maturity and a hunger to work outside the rehearsal room are a must. We play 3 to 4 sets most gigs so it's a lot of material to digest and develop proficiency. We are dedicated musicians and expect the same whether you’re early to the music bug or late in the game. We all have full time jobs and families. We play for the love of music with different musical backgrounds and cultural experiences. Our gigs are primarily paid aside from the occasional benefit show. If you are familiar with Humboldt County, you know you need to hustle to make a living purely playing music. We are not interested in that person. Scheduling is complicated enough without having to work with someone who thinks of themselves as a hired gun. Band median age is 40. Must be at least 21. Commitment and positive attitude are paramount. Please send sample(s) of your singing/playing with contact info if you're interested in coming out and meeting/playing with the band. A recording on a cell phone is sufficient and quite preferred. We want to hear you unproduced; a live recording is best. We will respond to all inquiries regardless of interest.
