Description
WINDSOR, CA — A fire burning near Highway 101 in Windsor prompted the California Highway Patrol to briefly close all southbound lanes of the freeway, according to CHP.
The blaze was being held at 5 acres and had destroyed one abandoned home and three other abandoned structures as of Saturday afternoon, Cal Fire officials told the San Francisco Chronicle.
A SIG ALERT was issued at 2:23 p.m. and traffic was backed up as far as Healdsburg before the highway reopened, according to CHP.
